I rarely review books but this one is the exception. Don't buy it - even the meager cost is too much for this book. I wish I had listened to the reviews but I usually like to be my own judge. However, they are spot on. The book is all over the place. It starts out great and had great potential but turns to crap quite quickly. Who in their right mind would think that a woman after being called loose among other insults is then ecstatic to jump in the sack (Ms. Mathews - of course). I hated the hero and heroine. I hope that with this review Amazon will be more prudent in their recommendations.Product details

I usually do not write reviews, but I just had to for this book. I have never read a book that does not make sense, that jumps all around and is so unbelievable that I had to stop 1/4 of the way into the book! Even if I was from Mars, this book could not be any worse or so far fetched! The reactions of the characters are so "out there". The coincidences of meeting someone you grew up with in the middle of the ocean? The reality of a pirate not taking advantage of his captive. A women during this time period being so self sufficient, yeah right, not back then! The first pirate that abducts you, looses you and finds you and you are soooooo in love, really? I have deleted this book and would not recommend that anybody spend any $$ on this. I wouldn't even read it for free! Don't waste your money or your precious time on this one, it is a flop!
Lovely story I say I love it if you enjoy reading this book my friends should be one of those I recommend this exciting book

Wow! Where to start?? First off this book started out so good, then after he kidnapped her it all fell apart from there.. this author was all over the place....from I love you to the next minute swearing at him to they are so much in love ?? (For only meeting once at a masked ball) and almost having sex 1 time to never knowing who each other is or meeting each other again... till he wants revenge on her father for ruining his family, so he kidnaps his daughter who is an hieress .. he then takes her on her ship she owns that he took over and has 2 other of his ships following him back to england..so he can marry her so he can get revenge and her money....but he loves her...from that one night in the maze that we know nothing about until it gets bought up through out the book..then they get attacked by a pirate that hates him....but I was like wait wasn't there 2 ships following them...so wouldn't they have fought to keep the other pirates at bay ( 3 ships against 1)?? Then they battle and the pirate takes her to his ship...wants to make her his mistress couse I guess they new each other from whites (gambiling)...Couse she went into the club dressed as a man??? Not sure! Then she escapes jumps over board before he has his way with her and floats till a passing ship picks her up..who by the way happened to be someone she knows....a childhood friend and his wife! I mean really, in the middle of the ocean heading to england and get picked up by a friend??? lmao....what's the chances of that?? Then to add more charictors to this book, his old mistress or a "whore" who happens to be a women pirate he had an affair with... her boat is on fire in the middle of the ocean and sinking so they pick them up...then she somehow takes over the ship and they jump over board (once again) swim to another ship ,then they go take back the ship again...this whole time still swearing at him then she loves him the next minute..make no sense ..plus he is a duke who supposedly was in his majesty ' s army and is the great captain morgan. If he was so great of a captain why did she get taken then his ship??..but he is more like a wimp...then the love scene...finally.... they get to it after 65%of the book ... the author uses words like pu**y and co*k..wich I don't care ..thinking this is going to be juicy...he touched her then she touched him then pretty much brought her to ecstasy...I kid you not...the love scene was less than a half of page...I was like really, all the words just used and no outcome..no passion not even a finish..lol ..let's just say this book was all over the place... she wants him, loves him& to Marry him...then she can't give her heart...I was like what??? Trust me this book is like this trough out the whole book...constantly cussing him..then pledges her undying love the next....and he is not any better...I want my pirates and dukes to take command and I like them to be womanizer's , gamblers and drink and so on... then redeem themselves ...but not him. He was to wimpy for me... I wouldn't waste my time on this book or author just n the end you will only end up more frustrated and asking yourself why 😂🤦♀️thank god its was only 99 cents.

The characters and plot were good but there was a lot of grammar mistakes that made it hard to understand in some places. The action and mystery were good. Not a bad story over all.
